NJADS Inc. (Not Just Another Dance Studio, or NJADS) and its affiliates know that you care about how information about you is used. We appreciate your trust and will use information about you carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting NOTJUSTANOTHERDANCESTUDIO.CA and its affiliates, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this statement and consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as set out below.
What Personal Information About Users Does NJADS Inc. and its Affiliates Gather?
The information we obtain from users helps us personalize and continually improve your experience using NJADS Inc. and its affiliates. Here are the types of information we gather:
Information You Give Us:
We may receive and store any information you voluntarily provide on our website or give us in any other way. You provide most such information when you register; provide account details; participate in a contest or questionnaire; interact with a merchant from whom you have purchased something through our website; or communicate with customer service. You can choose not to provide certain information, however, you might not be able to take advantage of certain features of our website, or participate in certain activities. We use the information you provide for such purposes as customizing your experience, improving our website, communicating with you regarding your child, keeping you up to date on monthly activities, studio closures ensuring that purchases that you make are handled properly, and other crucial information about your child and your account. If at any time, you decide you do not wish to receive communications from us or you no longer wish to receive our services, you may advise us by providing written notice to our Studio Director Amanda at amanda@notjustanotherdancestudio.ca.
Automatic Information
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Examples of the information we may collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; computer and connection information, such as browser type, version and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our website, including date and time; cookie number; pages you viewed; and the telephone number used to call our customer service number. We may also use browser data such as cookies, Flash cookies (also known as Flash Local Shared Objects), or similar data on certain parts of our website for fraud prevention and other purposes. During some visits we may use software tools such as JavaScript to measure and collect session information, including page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

NJADS and its affiliates may store cookies on your computer to facilitate and customize your experience. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide certain features. We use cookies because they save you time while navigating the site and help us track and target user interests in order to provide a better, more customized experience. Cookies also allow us to collect Automatic Information from you, like which pages you visit and what links you click. Does NJADS Inc. and its Affiliates Share the Information it Receives?
Except with your consent and as set out below, we will not sell, license, trade or rent your personal information to or with others.
We may disclose or share non-personally identifiable information with partners, merchants and/or prospective merchants to help explain our business and the effectiveness of our business or for promotional purposes. For example, we may disclose aggregated demographic information, which does not include any personally identifiable information.
NJADS Inc. and its affiliates may disclose personal information to third party providers of NJADS Inc and its affiliates, including third parties engaged to assist us in providing services (including but not limited to costuming, transaction processing services, document management and office administration) to you or to carry out one or more of the uses described above. These service providers are prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than to provide this assistance and are required to protect personal information disclosed by NJADS Inc. and its affiliates and to comply with the general privacy principles describes in this Privacy Policy.
NJADS Inc. and its affiliates reserve the right to disclose personal information to a third party if a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order legally requires or authorizes us to do so.
How Secure Is Information About Me?
We protect the security of your sensitive information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you enter on certain pages of the site that handle sensitive information.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and your computer. It is recommended that you do not share your password(s) with anyone and are sure to sign off when you have finished using a shared computer.
Which Information Can I Access?
Through our parent portal you have access to all your and your child’s personal information, subject to certain exceptions, NJADS Inc. and its affiliates will inform you of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information and will provide you with a summary of that information. If we are not able to disclose all the personal information we hold on you, we will give you a reason for our inability to do so, unless prohibited by law.
You have the right to ensure that any information NJADS Inc. and its affiliates maintain is correct and complete.
To review your personal information on file you can log into the parent portal in the top right corner of our website. Here you can view your balance, your payments, payment methods on file, your child’s emergency medical information, emergency contacts and address.
Are Children Allowed to use the NJADS Inc Portal?
Children (persons under the age of 18) are not eligible to use the site unsupervised and we ask that children do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use NJADS Inc. and its affiliates in conjunction with and under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Any personal information we have regarding minors is provided with the consent of their parents or legal guardians and is used for the sole purpose of ensuring the appropriate classes, and care of the child while in the care of NJADS staff, this includes but is not limited to the child’s first and last name, medical conditions, skill and skill levels, emergency contacts, contact address.
Conditions of Use, Notices, and Revisions
If you choose to visit NJADS Inc. and its affiliates your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this notice. Including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the province of Ontario. Our business may change or adapt and our Privacy Policy may change also. You should check our site frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and such changes will take effect immediately upon being posted to the site, however, we stand behind the promises we make and will never materially change our policies and practices to make them less protective of customer information collected in the past without the consent of affected users.
Social Media Policy Regarding Minors
Purpose: To ensure the privacy and safety of minors, as well as respect the rights and individuality of all members of our dance family. This policy outlines the guidelines for sharing dancers’s images and identifying information on our Not Just Another Dance Studio’s social media platforms.
1. Parental/Guardian Consent
- Photos or videos of minors will only be posted with consent from the legal parent/guardian.
- Consent is automatically given to all dancers who register at Not Just Another Dance Studio unless the parent/guardian chooses to revoke consent by selecting the consent box through the families individual Dance Studio Portal (DSP) Account
- Not Just Another Dance Studio is committed to ensuring the privacy of our dancers. When a photo is posted the last name of the dancer will not be posted. If no photo is shared the first and last name may be shared. Example: Monthly Sparkle winners are announced by full name and without photo.
2. Privacy and Safety Standards
- Full names will not be used. Instead, only first names or initials may be used if permitted.
- Geotags will be disabled on posts featuring minors to protect their location privacy.
- Personal details, such as the dancer’s school, age, or address, will never be shared.
3. Content Guidelines
- Images should reflect positive and appropriate activities that are related to our Not Just Another Dance Studio Brand, services we provide, programs and values.
- Parents or guardians have the right to request the removal of any image of their child from our social media at any time.
5. Tagging and Commenting
- We will not tag minor’s accounts in photos or videos, unless parent consent has been provided.
- We will monitor comments on posts with children to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
6. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure compliance with privacy laws and community standards.
